Annual Wine Tasting Coming Soon

Join us for our 7th Annual Los Angeles Alumnae of Phi Mu Wine Tasting/Silent Auction on Saturday October 23rd from 7-10pm. This year’s event features a new wine partner, Vin Verite, and a revamped silent auction to support our Children’s Miracle Network philanthropy efforts aligned with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Vin Verite’s wine enthusiast and collector, Perry Powell, will be presenting “Wine regions you don’t know, but should…” with 8 wines including sparkling, white, red and dessert wines from France, Spain, Argentina and New Zealand.

Bring several friends, have fun networking with other Southern California Phi Mu sisters, enjoy tasting great wines paired with food and shop early for the holidays as you participate in the various silent auctions to support our annual Children's Miracle Network(CMN) philanthropy. There is something for everyone!

For more information please email us at phimula@gmail.com.

In addition join the Los Angeles Alumnae Chapter as we walk to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network with the 2010 Torch Relay. If you went last year, come on out again, and if you didn’t make it – try it, you’ll like it!

February events

So although we don't have any official events in February, we'd like to let you know about 2 possibilities to meet with other Phi Mus and enjoy some fun on the town.

The first event is on February 20th, from 4 to 7pm at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood and Highland.  It is the annual "Cupcake Challenge" and for an entrance fee of $40 you will be able to sample some of our cities best cupcakes.  Post a comment on this blog if you're thinking of coming so other Phi Mus can meet up with you.  For more information see: http://www.drinkeatplay.com/cupcakechallenge/.

The second event is on February 23rd, when you can get a free short stack at IHOP locations around the US and benefit the Children's Miracle Network.  A group of LA Alums will be gathering at the IHOP on Sepulveda and National in West LA at 7pm.  IHOP is giving away pancakes all day and all they're asking in return is that you consider making a donation to CMN.  For more information see: http://ihoppancakeday.com/.  Hope to see you there!
